Resumen
The Giant Stance is a trail bike that offers a great balance of performance and value, with reviewers praising its updated geometry, suspension performance, and affordability. It's noted for being fun and capable on a variety of terrains, though some mention limitations in its suspension design and component choices.
Affordable price for the quality
Good trail-riding combo with Maxxis Ardent tyres
Supple suspension performance
Comfortable & compliant ride quality
Modern, all-purpose trail bike design
Relies on Giant’s FlexPoint suspension which may lack plushness
Contact Switch dropper post described as not-great-but-not-terrible
Quick release dropouts limit upgrade potential
Narrow bars affect stability and handling
Giant wants to be known as an equal competitor on the market, not one stuck with the lower standards associated with budget-oriented brands like Diamondback or Mongoose.
It’s pretty awesome that bikes like the Stance exist.Bicycling

It’s been three years since we last tested the Giant Stance and a lot has changed in that time. For starters, the price has shot up by £400.

Chain rattle is deafening

Fork, shock and gearing undermine the Stance 2’s potential, but it’s a good starting point
Supportive suspension for rowdy riding
Dropper post helps you maintain your flow
Comes set up tubeless as stock

Normally, choosing an affordable mountain bike means getting stuck with an outdated drivetrain, sub-standard frame geometry and/or undergunned suspension. Apparently, the Giant Stance 29 is not normal.
