Resumen
The Genesis Equilibrium is celebrated for its classic looks, versatile performance, and comfortable ride, making it an ideal choice for endurance cycling. Its Reynolds 725 steel frame offers a smooth ride quality, capable of handling long-haul rides, commutes, and club rides with ease. However, its weight and some component choices may not satisfy those seeking a lightweight or high-performance bike for climbing.

Lags behind carbon and alloy bikes in the same price bracket on climbs
'They told me the classics never go out of style…'
'The ride quality is good too, with the chassis offering enough stiffness to feel dynamic in the corners, or when quickly changing direction, yet supple enough to keep you feeling comfortable and cosseted on poor road surfaces.'
'Forget about weight – it's kind of irrelevant for this type of bike. If you want a comfortable, relaxing ride, from a bike that can deliver the speed when you want it, the Equilibrium is a very good choice.'

The unbranded wheelset is actually a pairing of Jalco disc rims and Formula six-bolt disc hubs, and the big tyres are a weight trade off I’m happy to accept for the ride quality, but I wish they were fitted to a lighter set of hoops to give the Equilibrium a bit more spark when the road starts to rise.. .
Lovely ride quality, great stable handling
Weight, not the best value
