Resumen
The Cannondale Jekyll is a highly capable enduro bike praised for its innovative suspension design, including a high pivot and Proportional Response system that adjusts for rider size, ensuring a consistent ride experience. It excels in rough terrain with stable, composed handling and a supple suspension that offers excellent traction and control. While it shines in descending, some reviews note limitations like wheel compatibility and the potential for debris in the shock cavity.
Proportional Response suspension design for size-specific performance
High pivot with rearward axle path for improved bump tracking
Stable and composed handling in rough terrain
Supple suspension with excellent traction and control
Innovative frame design with hidden shock placement
Limited to 29″ wheels only
Potential for debris to enter the shock cavity
Wheelset durability concerns
Idler drag noticeable when climbing
Shock adjustments hard to reach
It’s like Cannondale flipped the script with the old frame, taking everything suspension related that was previously up high in the frame, and tucking it down as low as possible
The Jekyll is certainly no slouch through the turns where it feels planted and very controlled.
From the get-go the Cannondale Jekyll has proven to be an easy bike to get along with thanks to its centred riding position and balanced weight distribution. The handling is nothing short of exceptional.

It may be a high pivot and a Cannondale, but there’s nothing too strange about the way the Jekyll performs, it’s fast, fun and intuitive
High pivot benefits with few of the drawbacks
Great support through turns and off jumps
Rewards committed riding
Requires committed riding to perform
Challenging shock adjustment

High-pivot mountain bikes are becoming commonplace but the Jekyll's performance is anything but.
Rides light
Carries its speed well
Lively, nimble enduro machine
Adding a coil improves diversity
A race bike with everyday riding manners
Stock wheels
Stock air shock can have it feeling skittish in loose situations
Shock adjustments are hard to reach

There are a lot of model names that have remained and evolved in different bike brands’ line-ups year after year, but certainly no other single model has delivered as many outrageous and truly ‘left of field’ frame designs over the years as the Cannondale Jekyll. Words // Blake Nielsen Photos // Matt Staggs This season, as showcased right here, the Jekyll debuts another entirely new frame design concept. As someone that has followed Cannondale’s journey through MTB over the years […]

There's never been a better Cannondale
Bump control
Pedaling efficiency
No more proprietary shock
Potential for increased drivetrain wear
Keeping the drivetrain clean is critical
Lockout lever on shock is hard to reach

High pivot rear suspension, “Guidler” and a unique shock position. Without a doubt, the new Cannondale Jekyll is one of the most eccentric-looking bikes in our “Best Enduro Bike of 2022” group test! But how does it stack up against the competition?
Intuitive handling
Suspension performance
Background noise and climbing efficiency
Shock is hard to access
Dirt accumulates between the down tube and plastic cover
Spec needs upgrades

The Cannondale Jekyll is a 165mm travel enduro bike that has boldly jumped onto the high pivot bandwagon for 2022. Along with its hidden shock, idler wheel and shape-shifting paint job, this is no doubt a thoroughly striking machine. But is different better? Read on for our Cannondale Jekyll review.
Beautifully balanced handling
Gobs of traction & high-speed stability
Scaled rear centre sizing
Reliable shifting & powerful braking
Gorgeous iridescent paint job
Dropper post is too short
Needs a tougher rear tyre
Stock wheels are cheap
Rocks can bounce around in the shock cavity

Cannondale has done a great job with the Jekyll. It’s stable, composed and seriously quick, but a better set of wheels would elevate its performance even further
Great geometry
Super stable and composed
Solid spec that’s ready to be raced
Wheelset could be better as rims are easy to ding and spokes can lose tension
Rocks can find their way into the shock cavity

Size-specific suspension? A high pivot suspension design with 'Guidler' pulley? Big travel? Big wheels? The new Cannondale Jekyll looks good.
