Summary
The Orange Alpine is a highly capable enduro bike, praised for its improved suspension performance, aggressive geometry, and playful ride quality. It excels on steep, loose trails and offers a balance between big travel capabilities and trail-friendly efficiency. The bike's design updates, including more progressive suspension and modern geometry, contribute to its confidence-inspiring handling and downhill prowess.
Improved suspension performance with more progressive kinematics
Aggressive geometry for confidence-inspiring rides
Playful and efficient trail-friendly package
Modern design updates enhance handling and comfort
Excellent downhill performance with ample travel
Bottle mount placement can lead to mud and debris accumulation
Some pedal kickback in rough and fast conditions
May feel less snappy during out-of-saddle sprints
The new Alpine is a poppier bike than previous versions
The Alpine is a hoot to ride though, mostly comfortable, ever so capable and confidence inspiring
If you’re after just one bike to do it all, then the Orange Alpine Evo could be the ticket.
The team at Orange has succeeded in what they set out to do: they’ve made a big travel bike that you can ride anywhere, and when something with 160mm travel rides this well why would you want less?

New version of the Orange Alpine 6, complete with improved cable routing and, wait for it, bottle cage bosses under the down tube.

The fully refreshed Alpine has the same silhouette as the outgoing model and retains its lively ride
Improved cable routing, more modern geometry and addition of bottle cage mounts
Bottle cage mounts are on the bottom of the downtube and the bike isn't especially forgiving
