Summary
The Deviate Claymore is a unique and well-thought-out enduro bike that excels in nimble and precise handling, making it a favorite among experienced riders. Its high pivot frame design offers a comfortable riding position and elegant details, though it may require climb switch activation for optimal performance on technical climbs. While the suspension performs excellently over small to medium bumps, some riders note a slight bob and less traction on steep climbs compared to competitors.

Well before bike park season kicked off Deviate Cycles sent out their high pivot Claymore for reviewing as a frameset. Personally I like testing bikes this way as it allows me to hone in on the bike’s DNA and baked in attributes, while allowing readers to judge the value of various models independently and map them in regards to their budget. After all, the value aspect can vary wildly at different spec levels and with different frame materials. In any case, this isn’t my first time riding a high pivot bike with an idler but I do think the Claymore

Deviate's latest carbon creation ended up surprising testers with its versatility.
Excellent suspension performance, especially over small and medium square-edged bumps
Not just a singleminded DH machine – it's still fun on moderate terrain
No size small, and the chainstay length is the same on all sizes
