The M.1 is greyhound fast, but it’s no delicate race bike. The strapping, industrial-looking frame packs in plenty of carbon in high-stress areas, including the giant bottom bracket and oversize tapered head tube, for stiffness and durability. In lieu of rear suspension, the flattened and dropped seat stays provide built-in comfort. The modern trail geometry designed for a 120mm fork delivers both snappy acceleration and downhill confidence on all but the gnarliest downhill tracks with its laidback head tube angle and short chain stays. Boost spacing front and rear also adds to the M.1’s deft handling, and provides compatibility with all the latest wheels. There’s even clearance for meaty 2.4-inch tires, internal cable routings for drivetrain resilience, and the option to run a dropper seat post.
