Three testers had the chance to ride Kona's hardtail fatbike during the snowiest North Shore winter in years - and on good old dirt as well...
Huge tires provide exceptional traction in snow and dirt
Adjustable wheelbase for tweaking ride characteristics
Fun, smile-inducing ride on snow and dirt
Surprisingly capable on technical terrain
Shimano Deore brakes are excellent
SRAM NX/GX drivetrain works well
Low bottom bracket height with sag leads to pedal and BB strikes
Could use a dropper post for climbing
No rear suspension; body gets tired
Would benefit from a 120mm Bluto fork
Resin-only rotors not preferred by all riders
