An excellent frameset with good quality finishing kit at an attractive price, but the wheels are a touch underwhelming
Great value
Stiff and fast aero frameset
Smooth ride quality
Great handling
Neat cable routing
Easy cockpit adjustment
Clearance for 30mm tyres
Heavy wheelset and average tyres blunt the bike’s edge
Weight weenies will need to look elsewhere

Not the lightest or most comfortable, but if speed is your main goal then the Reacto delivers
Powerful riders will love the stiffness levels
Integrated rear seatpost light is a neat touch
Not the lightest aero bike out there
Non-series crankset cheapens the look

One month into our longterm test and the Merida Reacto LTD road bike is already impressing us
Effortless straight-line speed
Scything high-speed cornering capabilities
Dampening when dealing with large impacts
Doesn't come with tubeless tyres as standard
The rear light is far from reliable
Dec 2018 · Paul Norman
We’ve ridden the latest version of Merida’s aero bike, complete with disc brakes
Efficient aero frameset
Superb groupset
Above average adjustability for an aero bike
Some buffeting in crosswinds
Quite high geared
Spacers under stem can move around
