Overview
The Multi-Terrain Crossover MTX range of front suspension hybrids is incredibly versatile. Lightweight aluminium frames with stable and comfortable riding positions, broad gear ranges, powerful hydraulic disc brakes and short travel suspension forks mean these bikes can handle almost anything. Rough roads, cycle paths and off-road trails are all in a day’s work for an MTX.The MTX 8.8 offers a high performing specification blending comfort and efficiency in a well-rounded package. A saddle designed to support you when riding in the more upright position of the MTX means it won’t be seat pain which curbs your riding ambitions. Shimano’s 2x10 speed Deore gears give a low ratio for climbing without compromising cruising speed, with small steps in between. A clutch mechanism in the rear derailleur helps stop dropping chains too. Shimano MT-200 hydraulic disc brakes are low-maintenance and stop quickly with easily modulated braking power. The Schwalbe Tyrago 35mm tyres grip well on loose surfaces and still roll quickly, protecting you from punctures with a Kevlar breaker belt.
