Summary
The Merida Reacto is celebrated for its exceptional speed and aero efficiency, translating every watt into forward momentum with razor-sharp handling and impressive comfort for an aero bike. It offers a stiff, responsive ride with significant speed advantages over segments, though some models may suffer from a firm ride and minor component issues. The Reacto stands out for its thoughtful design, including a well-integrated frame and smart cable routing, making it a strong contender in the aero bike category.
Translates every watt into forward momentum
Razor sharp handling
Impressive comfort for an aero bike
Stiff, light, responsive and lightning fast
Well thought out componentry and design
Seat clamp rubber cap issues
Rear light reliability
Firm ride may not appeal to all
Average wheels and tyres on some models
The sheer unadulterated speed and responsiveness of the machine is intoxicating
Drop into a descent, attack the flats or turn into a headwind and the efficiencies of Merida’s tube shapes become clearly apparent.
The Merida Reacto 6000 is a fast aero road bike with impressively confident handling characteristics. It’s great value, too.

An excellent frameset with good quality finishing kit at an attractive price, but the wheels are a touch underwhelming
Great value
Stiff and fast aero frameset
Smooth ride quality
Great handling
Neat cable routing
Easy cockpit adjustment
Clearance for 30mm tyres
Heavy wheelset and average tyres blunt the bike’s edge
Weight weenies will need to look elsewhere

One month into our longterm test and the Merida Reacto LTD road bike is already impressing us
Effortless straight-line speed
Scything high-speed cornering capabilities
Dampening when dealing with large impacts
Doesn't come with tubeless tyres as standard
The rear light is far from reliable

A fast machine with sorted geometry, but its firm ride won't appeal to all
