Three testers had the chance to ride Kona's hardtail fatbike during the snowiest North Shore winter in years - and on good old dirt as well...
Huge traction in snow and dirt
Fun and capable on technical terrain
Adjustable wheelbase useful for tuning ride characteristics
Excellent climbing traction in most conditions
Surprisingly good cornering lean angle
SRAM NX shifter and GX derailleur worked well
Shimano Deore brakes excellent
Low bottom bracket and pronounced fork sag cause pedal and BB strikes
Could use dropper post
No rear suspension
QR skewers not ideal for cold hands
Price considered high for a fat bike
