The 2020 Giant Fathom 2 is a beefy, 120mm-forked hardtail with big tyres, wide 650b rims and broad bars. It’s a reliable partner for big rides on natural terrain, but the short, tall geometry and mediocre Suntour fork hold it back on technical, twisty trails.
