Nov 2022

Three Months on the Little Bike that Could

Highs
  • Compact and snappy geometry feels stable on descents

  • Playful and poppy; great for jumping and cornering

  • Excellent traction on climbs

  • Maneuverable in tight technical sections

  • Predictable and confident landing on jumps

  • Responsive to active riding style

  • Bottomless suspension feel when pumped

  • Cornering is responsive and stable

Lows
  • Short cockpit leads to knee hitting shifter on tight climbs

  • Less stretched out feeling on grindy climbs

  • Rear hub bearings wore prematurely (over preloading issue)

  • Reverb seatpost requires frequent servicing and special tool

  • Saddle with carbon rails broke after 5 rides

  • 760mm bars too narrow for the reviewer

  • Lockout switch hard to reach with water bottle

  • Not ideal for steep, chunky terrain when braking

  • Suspension feels chattery when braking at speed on rough terrain

  • Slower climbing compared to 29er (~2 min on 45 min climb)
