Polygon's premier trail rig has great handling and comes in at $3k+ cheaper than rival offerings.

Highs

  • Impressive value: 7700 CAD for full Shimano XTR Di2, RockShox dampers, carbon frame

  • Adjustable geometry: flip chip for 29/27.5 rear wheel, headset cup slackens HTA, BB height adjustment

  • Light weight: estimated 31 lbs

  • Lively climbing with high traction and steep seat angle

  • Active, plush suspension with decent pedaling platform

  • Shimano XTR Di2 shifts smoothly and quickly

  • XTR brakes have predictable ramp-up and good lever feel

Lows

  • Double Dissector tires lack front grip, need aggressive front tire

  • 170mm dropper insufficient for steep terrain, desire 200mm+

  • Brake rotors small (180mm front), prefer larger

  • Climb switch reduces traction and feels awkward

  • Latch mechanism releases vaguely
