Zusammenfassung

The Vitus Sentier is a trail bike that blends performance and affordability, offering a smooth ride with impressive specs for the price. It's praised for its playful character and excellent low-speed control, though some riders may find its geometry limiting, especially on steeper trails. The bike's versatility and value make it a strong contender in its category.

Pros
  • Smooth ride with plenty of grip

  • Impressive spec for the price

  • Playful character and excellent low-speed control

  • Great value for money

  • Top quality frame and best fork in test

Cons
  • Geometry may not suit everyone, especially on steeper trails

  • No dropper post

  • Brakes lack power and have a wooden feel

  • X-Fusion fork tends to dive through its mid-stroke

  • Short reach makes standing climbing less stable

Key Quotes

The Sentier is spritely on the pedals, and as a hardtail, it should be.

Vitus Sentier 29 VRX review

Dez. 2020 · Alex Evans

Great spec and a bargain price, as long as the seat tube isn’t too long or the reach too short

Höhen
  • Top-spec parts for a bargain price

  • A fluid and forgiving descender that doesn’t feel vague in turns or across cambers

Tiefs
  • Seat tube and reach numbers could do with a tweak to unlock more potential

  • A full-length outer gear cable would be more UK-proof

Vitus Sentier 275 VR - MBR

Dez. 2019 · Alan Muldoon

Successfully defending its 2018 title, the handsome Vitus Sentier 27 VR defies its sub £1,000 price point with the best spec, geometry and overall finish.

Höhen
  • Great spec, fast, massively versatile and lightest on test.

Tiefs
  • No dropper post, cheap resin pad-only rotors.

Vitus Sentier 29 VR 2019 review

März 2019

If you’re after a do-it-all hardtail ready for rough and tumble riding, then the Vitus Sentier 29 VR hits the spot with a solid and well-thought-out spec for the cash and confidence inspiring handling paired to the big wheels. While the aluminium frame isn’t the most comfortable thing out there, budget for a dropper post and you'll have a superb ride.
