Test: Im Mountainbike Magazin world of mtb testen wir das Enduro Trek Slash 9.8 2017. Dem Slash verpassten die Amis die großen Twentyniner-Laufräder. Grund dafür ist das Feedback aus dem eigenen Enduro-Rennteam. Die Geometrie des Slash-Rahmens wurde entsprechend auf die großen Laufräder angepasst

The Slash set the new benchmark for long-travel 29ers not long ago, and 2018's version attempts to meet the same standard. This one is stiff, light, and an excellent option for long adventures.

Die größte Neuerung am Trek Slash versteckt sich unscheinbar am Dämpfer. Sie hört auf den Namen Thru Shaft und ist der neueste Clou der US-Amerikaner im Bereich Fahrwerkstechnologie. Dabei ist die Idee gar nicht so neu, sie wurde nur noch nie richtig am Mountainbike umgesetzt.
