Zusammenfassung
The Specialized Status is celebrated for its playful, agile handling and solid suspension performance, making it a standout in the enduro category. It offers great value with a no-nonsense spec and is designed for fun, whether on steep trails or in the bike park. However, it's noted for being less efficient on climbs and having some component limitations.
Playful, agile handling
Solid suspension performance
Great value for money
Fun-focused design
Versatile for various riding styles
Less efficient on climbs
Component limitations
Pedal strikes common
Rear end can break free easily
Some build quality issues
Simply put, the Status 140 is one of the most naturally playful, anarchically agile and responsive trail/park bikes I’ve ridden at any price point.
The Status is a seriously exciting bike and rides like a far pricier machine with some decent kit for the money.
If you like riding the steepest trails around, want to hit jumps, and love the feeling of stuffing the rear wheel into a berm, then the Status is probably the bike of choice in this lineup.Pinkbike

The shorter travel version of Specialized’s subversive mullet bike is a huge amount of fun, especially for dynamic riders, and it’s a bloody bargain too
Attack focused MX geometry
Totally sorted suspension
Short back end responsiveness
Great value, no nonsense spec
Stealth aesthetics
No internal storage
Needs tougher tires for rocky trails
Not a natural climber

The Status 140 even made a trip to the Southern Hemisphere during its extended test period.

Erinnert Ihr Euch ans Specialized Status? Lange galt das Bike mit Doppelbrücke als Alternative zum Downhiller Demo. Wir konnten das neue Status 160 testen.

A compelling ride for the money, the Status rips!
Solid frame
Attractive price point
Loads of fun on the descents
Plenty versatile

With one model, five frame sizes, mixed wheels, two geometry settings and 160mm travel, the new Specialized Status ticks all the right boxes.
Killer value for money
Sluggish NX shifting, lack of official product info is frustrating

Niedriger Preis
Super verspieltes und spaßiges Handling
Spontanität auf dem Trail
Gabel- und Bremsperformance limitieren das Bike
Benötigt spezifisches Setup für Flow- und Tech-Trails

The new Status offers progressive geometry and a solid build at a really good price. It’s not afraid of getting rowdy on the hill and has, so far, soaked up with ease everything I've thrown at it
Stretched out geometry is great at high-speed
Plush suspension and confident angles
Really solid build with some great parts for the money
Short back-end coupled with long front-end adds some liveliness but does affect ride balance in the corners
Tyres can feel sketchy in the wet

The new Specialized Status is a long travel mullet bike – business up front, party in the back – specifically designed around a 29er front wheel and a 27.5" rear. It's a fast and hard-hitting enduro bike and the price is good, though the super-short chainstays create a noticeably rearward weight bias that won't suit everyone.
