Zusammenfassung

The Specialized Diverge is celebrated for its versatility, offering a fun and engaging ride across a variety of terrains, from pavement to gravel. It combines all-day comfort with stable handling and efficient power transfer, making it suitable for long rides and adventurous explorations. While it excels in off-road conditions, some reviews note it can feel sluggish on smooth asphalt and the 1x drivetrain may limit gearing options for some riders.

Pros
  • Versatile across various terrains

  • All-day comfort and stable handling

  • Efficient power transfer and engaging ride quality

  • Confidence-inspiring braking and tire grip

  • Comfort-enhancing features like padded bar tape and vibration-damping inserts

Cons
  • Can feel sluggish on smooth asphalt

  • 1x drivetrain may limit gearing options for some

  • Limited tire clearance for wider options

  • Front end compliance not as pronounced as the rear

Specialized S-Works Diverge

Nov. 2017

A redesigned frame with space for 42mm tyres, disc brakes, 1x11 Shimano Di2 gearing, Future Shock suspension and a dropper seatpost signal a lot of changes for Specialized's Diverge, but they add up to create one of the best adventure bikes I've ridden. First Ride: All City Cycles Space Horse Review: Marin Gestalt 2 gravel bike The original Diverge was launched back in 2014 at a time when the hype for the gravel and adventure category was still in its infancy.

Specialized second-generation Diverge Comp review - CyclingTips

Juni 2017 · Matt Wikstrom

Specialized has updated the Diverge for 2018 with a deeper commitment to the bike’s off-road capabilities. The second-generation Diverge features a re-designed frameset that eschews Zertz elastomers in favour of a Future Shock suspension unit for the stem. There is more room for wider tyres and the geometry of the frame has been refined. And […]
