Zusammenfassung
The Marin Hawk Hill is celebrated for its fun, reactive, and nimble ride, making it a blast on twisty trails and jumps. Its suspension is well-tuned, offering a smooth and supportive feel, though some riders note frame flex and less stability at high speeds. While the bike delivers great performance for its price, the lack of a dropper post and a softer drivetrain are common drawbacks.
Fun and reactive ride
Well-tuned suspension
Good performance for the price
Agile and playful handling
Supple suspension feel
Lack of a dropper post
Soft drivetrain engagement
Frame flex for heavier riders
Less stable at high speeds
Front tire lacks bite in hard corners
Flicky, feisty and well-balanced, the Hawk Hill isn't perfectly specced but sure is a lot of fun
The short-travel rig feels reactive and nimble, and on one of my testing days at a berm-packed spot with jumps, it absolutely bossed it
For under $1,600 you can get a bike that shreds with a decent spec, capable geometry and an impressively supple suspension feel.

Best performance to price value, the Marin Hawk Hill 1 is an easy recommendation to beginners and budget-minded riders who want to get into the sport. It’s got good bones, solid geo and will benefit from upgrades down the road as you evolve as a rider.

Flicky, feisty and well-balanced, the Hawk Hill isn't perfectly specced but sure is a lot of fun
Tons of attitude and fun factor ensure the Hawk Hill is a real blast
Suspension tune and front-to-rear balance are well worked out
Drivetrain feels noticeably soft, in terms of engagement and power delivery
Not having a dropper post is a negative mark

The Marin Hawk Hill 3 is a 120mm full susser that can hold its own with the big bikes, is well specced and comes in at a very reasonable price too. It’s hard to fault this versatile bike, whilst not ground breaking in terms of design or geometry it does its job of being a fun and capable trail bike very well indeed.

The Marin Hawk Hill 3 may not be perfect, but for $2650 it gives you a lot of bang for your buck and, most importantly, it's fun.

While we all enjoy reading about the latest carbon fiber super bikes, the truth is most of us can’t afford to drop five grand on a new rig. The Hawk Hill is a $1500 trail bike that delivers serious performance. - Mtbr.com
