Zusammenfassung
The Kona Process 134 is a versatile and fun trail bike that excels in a variety of terrains, offering a balanced and predictable ride. It's praised for its nimble handling, aggressive suspension performance, and durability, though some reviews note its weight and geometry could be improved for certain riders. The bike is particularly noted for its playful nature and ability to inspire confidence on descents.
Nimble and responsive on tight climbs and super playful pointed down
Handled admirably in a huge range of terrain and climbed like a goat
Durable with a no-nonsense attitude, current with the latest technology
Affordable price under $3k
Whippy 27.5-inch wheels
134mm of rear suspension
Includes a dropper post
Makes rider a more comfortable, confident descender
Lacked the bottomless feel you get aboard some trail rigs
Not a bike you can sit back and expect to do the work for you
Weighs more than 30 pounds
Climbing requires adjustment in posture
68-degree head angle can spring unpleasant surprises
Geometry issues highlighted on trails
Overall weight is high for the money
In a stable full of huge, temperamental stallions, this bike is like the little surefooted pony that could.

The Process was a pre-test favourite, but the trails highlighted some geometry issues
It’s just a super-manoeuvrable bike that never feels sketchy.
"The Kona Process 134 Supreme is an easy bike to appreciate."

The day after getting a chance to check out Kona’s new Hei Hei Trail DL, we had time for one more ride. This year was the first that Kona held their dealer event in Squamish, BC, which meant prime access to some of the best local trails right out the front door. For obvious reasons, this …

“A mini downhill bike,” one tester said. “Just wants to rip,” said another. The Process is clearly built by and for riders who want to hit descents hard

If uphill Strava KOMs are your thing, leave Kona's Process 134 at home. But if the downhills are your playground, hop on it.

"The Kona Process 134 Supreme is a smile-inducing ride in the vast majority of situations and the frame is the heart of that experience..."

The Kona Process 134 was well received as a 26in bike in 2013, but Kona has ripped up the rulebook and designed a brand new range
Smashing the Cresta Run trail on holiday in Bubión, Spain. Never been so thrilled and relieved to get to the bottom of a trail.
The Shimano Deore brakes. Not the strongest outright stoppers, but you can’t put a price on the reliability.
The riding performance of the bomber-solid frame and rear suspension.
The underwhelming RockShox Sektor fork was a constant source of irritation. Heavy steel stanchions?!
A bit like the rider, there’s no denying the Process is on the portly side.
The stingy overall spec for the money.

The Kona Process 134 SE is a trail/enduro bike purpose-built and specced for smaller riders.

Masses of control and fun, but twitchy steering means we’d go with the 153 for full enduro domination
