Zusammenfassung
The Ibis Ripmo is celebrated for its outstanding all-around performance, blending climbing efficiency with downhill prowess. Its DW-Link suspension and updated geometry offer a balanced, confident ride across a variety of terrains. While it excels in versatility and build quality, some note its weight and the need for shock tuning as minor drawbacks.
Outstanding all-around performance
Excellent climber with efficient DW-Link suspension
Confident and composed downhill
Versatile across a wide range of speeds and terrains
High-quality build and components
A touch on the heavy side
Float X2 rear shock takes some time to dial in
Maxxis Assegai EXO+ tires might be a little heavy
Ibis took everything we already loved about the Ripmo and made it better.
This aggressive trail bike climbs shockingly well and maintains the energetic and sporty feel that was one of the hallmarks of the original.
The Ripmo V2 is an even more confident and capable descender than its predecessor.

The Ibis Ripmo AF, a playful long-travel trail bike with a strong build kit, has become a cult classic, though its lively ride divided reviewers between enjoyment and instability.
Great value, especially for a traditional B2B brand
Poppy and playful ride-feel
Surprisingly efficient climber/pumper for a long travel trail bike
Not as planted or composed as most bikes in the category
Marzocchi Bomber Z1 Coil didn’t jive with the bike’s energetic demeanor

Wir haben das Ibis Ripmo 2024 im Test. Wie schlägt sich das Allround-Trail-MTB mit DW-Link-Hinterbau?
Starker Allrounder
Lebendiges Fahrwerk
Gut ausbalanciertes Handling
Gut umgesetztes Staufach
Zu kleine Bremsscheibe am Heck

We have a few solid rides in on the Ripmo V3 and can already tell that the bike hits the all mountain nail square in the head.

Lower prices, new colors, and (finally) a UDH derailleur hanger makes the Ibis Ripmo AF a little more current.

Both the Ripmo AF and Ripley AF models now feature SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger.

So schön und funktional das Ibis Ripmo bei seinem Erscheinen auch war: Mit einem Preis von über 7000 Euro war es kein Bike für die Massen. Das soll die Alu-Version des Enduros jetzt ändern.

We let rip on the rowdy, alloy-framed, keenly priced enduro/trail mountain bike from one of the original MTB disruptors
Excellent DW link suspension
Sorted frame feel and geometry
Plush, controlled, DVO coil-shock
Seven-year frame warranty
Eclectic but well curated components
Fork needs more tuning than some
No internal storage
No geometry adjustment
