Devinci’s new AC salutes those about to rock with the kind of slack, aggressive performance you’d expect from the spawn of Spartan—only with an e-equipped engine for extra juice. Deft downhill handling stems from a generous 170mm of rear travel mated to a 180mm fork for a steeps-stomping, boulder-leveling ride. Inclines, on the other hand, just got more inspiring. Armed with the Shimano STEPS E8000 engine, you’ll experience an accelerated world as you charge climbing segments at speeds up to 32 kmh (limited to 25 kmh in Europe). You control the drive unit via a left-hand power-mode switch that triggers three settings (ECO, TRAIL and BOOST) for mixed-bag terrain. The high-stamina battery (504 Wh) is downtube mounted. Its stout carbon shield bucks loose rocks and errant debris. Dropper post compatibility—100mm thru 170mm—gives you an appreciated edge, whether powering uphill or transitioning to descents. Internal cable routing comes standard. And final hits include FRG adjustability and lighting setup compatibility; a 360° fork crown; plus 2.8-inch tire clearance. Crank the volume and cue the bangers. The AC is an e-beast that shreds hard.
