Summary
The Vitus ZX-1 is a high-performance aero bike that excels in speed, stiffness, and handling, offering great value for its price. It features a ground-up redesign for improved aerodynamics and power transfer, though some reviews note a harsh ride and internal routing complexities. The bike is often compared to the Vitus Vitesse Evo and Specialized Tarmac SL6 for its race-ready capabilities.
Lighter, stiffer, and faster all around
Improved power transfer & handling stability without losing rider comfort
Excellent stiffness levels
Real world aerodynamic benefits
Great value for money
Harsh ride
Internal cable routing headaches
Around 75-200g heavier than the previous, less expensive models
Vitus delivers another jump in carbon road bike performance
The ZX-1’s willingness to hold speed on a flat road is impressive, and when the road points downward, I find myself challenging KOMs without even pedalling.
It’s a bike that feels fast to ride.
The bike imparted a distinct sense of stability and confidence when descending.
It's an absolute rocket ship!

Vitus goes all-in for aero with the new ZX-1, featuring internal cable routing, huge tubing, deep wheels and integrated handlebars.
Feels fast, handles well, looks fast, good spec levels throughout the range.
Harsh ride, internal cable routing headaches, round spokes on aero wheels, poor saddle clamp choice.

Epic performance levels
Great value for money
Exciting handling

With most aero-road machines looking very similar, with design cues, such as dropped seatstays becoming the norm, it’s good to see the Vitus looks a little different, with its more traditional two triangle, diamond-shaped frame.. .
Fast, light handling and well-equipped
A little flex under load up front

Quality ride and spec
Fast deep-section carbon wheels
Uncertain aero benefits from the frameset
