Riding ‘off road’ on a road bike is nothing new. I have seen lots of days-gone-by pics of Tour de France riders with a tubular slung around their shoulders riding dirt roads.

The fit offered by the Diverge really was a highlight and I enjoyed every moment I spent riding it
Comfortable fit
Confident handling
Fun ride
Favourite saddle comes fitted
Shifting engagement not always precise
Stock tyres not suitable for muddy conditions
Nov 2020 · Peter Stuart
Fast and responsive over varying terrain, however Future Shock suspension makes a questionable contribution in the face of high-volume tyres
Versatility
Speed
Handling
Tyre clearance
Suspension and toolbox unnecessary for some

The Specialized Diverge Comp Carbon could be the perfect do-it-all bike for those seeking on road fun and off road thrills
Good carbon frame
Great handling
Perfect blend of on road performance and off road capability
Tyres comprise its off-road competency
May 2020
Smoother, more stable and more capable, the new Diverge can take you further than ever.
Smooth ride
Stable
Handles very well on dirt
Not as lively on pavement as the previous generation

The all-new Specialized Diverge gravel bike gets completely revised geometry, the latest Future Shock suspension system, and bigger tire clearance!
May 2020 · Aaron Borrill
Sporting slacker and longer geometry numbers the all-new Specialized Diverge takes drop-bar, gravel-bike aggressiveness to a whole new level
Stealthy, refined aesthetics
Compliant ride quality
Flattering geometry
Reactive steering
Comprehensive range covering all price points
Dropper post is overkill and adds unnecessary weight
