Ribble HT 725 Pro hardtail review

Sep 2021 · Guy Kesteven

Ribble’s steel hardtail looks fantastic and seems to tick all the boxes but how does it ride when things get tasty?

Highs
  • Super smooth ride

  • Lively spring for 725

  • Loads of color and trim options

  • Mostly solid aggro spec

  • Internal cable routing and ample tire space

  • Big ground clearance for pedaling

Lows
  • Short reach and tall bottom bracketreduce confidence

  • Twisty front end means vague tracking

  • 27.5in front tire slides more than a 29in would

  • High price for primarily direct sell brand

  • ‘Hidden’ SX cassette on ‘Pro’ build

Ribble HT Ti review - MBR

Feb 2020 · Mick Kirkman

The Ribble HT Ti is Ribble Cycles' first mountain bike in 20 years and it blends the old and the new with classic titanium tubes and modern geometry.

Highs
  • Slack, low and long with a beautiful finishing quality and details

Lows
  • Titanium’s softer quality married to stretched-out modern geometry equals a flexier frame

Ribble HT Ti GX Eagle review

Feb 2020 · Tom Marvin

Aggro hardtail that’s ideal for slipping and sliding in the woods, but swap those tyres ASAP

Highs
  • Comfortable for a hardtail

  • Up-to-date frame shape

  • Quality fork

Lows
  • Hard-compound Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres are poor performers

  • Slightly more powerful brakes would be a bonus

Ribble HT Ti SRAM GX Eagle hardtail review

Nov 2019

The Ribble HT Ti is a thing of beauty, but this titianium hardtail isn’t just about looks – it's got substance, thanks to progressive geometry that puts it firmly in the ‘enduro’ camp. A few spec choices seem at odds with the build and there's a steel version that makes this one look pricey, but if you're a sucker for titanium and hard, fast trails, you’ll want to take this bike for a ride.
