Summary
The CUBE Stereo 160 is a lightweight and fun enduro bike with a carbon frame and efficient climbing capabilities, thanks to its steep seat angle. However, its geometry and suspension performance receive mixed reviews, with some noting handling issues on steep terrain and a lack of support in the rear suspension. The bike excels in quick direction changes and offers a supple ride, but high-speed stability and tire performance are areas of concern.

The Cube is a lightweight and comfy bike, but the geometry and spec let it down
Attention, please! The CUBE Stereo is a show-stealer, and ‘attention grabber’ is its middle name.
Why obsess over trendy geometry when a bike’s this much fun?

The new Cube Stereo 140 is one of the best value mountain bikes we’ve seen this season. For $4K there’s a lot to like about it on paper, and after a few weeks riding we’ve really found it equally as impressive.
Amazing value.
Dialled suspension.
Robust construction.
Lively and fun.
Needs tubeless and a cable trim.
Front end wanders on steep climbs.

We detailed Cube's move to 29" wheels on the new Stereo 150 29, built for their Enduro World Series team. Previewing the affordable carbon bike in Finale Ligure, we rode away impressed with the 29er's agile & responsive ride on the technical terrain, chasing downhill after Cube's pro riders.

Rapid on the climbs, but old-school handling is at odds with the long-travel intentions. Buy if you're after a long travel bike that still climbs well, and hanker for the masochistic challenge an old-school handling package
Lightweight build, carbon frame and steep seat angle makes for a rewarding, spritely feel on the climbs. Sensitive suspension works well once a large volume spacer is added to the shock
Short reach, tall frame and long stem make for wayward handling on steep terrain and tight corners too

The Stereo has long been one of Cube’s most popular mountain bikes in the UK. We review the new Cube Stereo 160 C:62 SL 27.5.
Fun, fast, lightweight.
Sizing is past its sell-by date.
