Long Term Test: Canyon Strive CFR 9.0 Team

Jul 2019

The Canyon Strive is an impressive bike, at the heart of the bike, is a system unique to Canyon, the Shapeshifter. It is so damn effective; it helps this long-travel bike mix it up with the big rigs on the descents and keep up on the climbs with bikes half its size. Watch the strive …

Highs
  • The ultimate enduro race bike.

  • Shapeshifter versatility.

  • Kickass value.

  • Race-ready spec.

  • Eye candy.

Lows
  • Crummy chainstay guard.

  • Water bottle hit Shapeshifter cover.

  • Simultaneously fun and composed

  • Top spec at a fair price

Lows
  • Using the Shapeshifter takes some getting used to

  • Seat tube angle could be steeper

  • Uncomfortable and super slippery saddle

Canyon Strive CFR 9.0 Team 2019 review

Jan 2019

Canyon's totally reworked Strive CFR 9.0 Team is an extremely rapid and long-legged trail and enduro bike that impresses with a much-improved travel and geometry adjusting Shapeshifter system paired to big wheels. It's not the most radical shaped enduro rig out there, but it's blisteringly quick, versatile and excellent value nonetheless.
